St Michael

The modest "shepherd's" church of St. Michael's, the sister Church of St. Andrew's Presteigne, is medieval with Victorian modifications and extensive repair and reordering carried out in 2008 & 2009. The site is also notable for its wonderful location and views, spectacular yew tree, said to be five thousand years old, early wild daffodils and 32 other species of wild flowers. Many top-quality but small-scale musical and visual arts events are held at St Michael's annually. There is a large "Friends of St Michael's" group, under whose auspices many such events are organized, so the best way to keep in touch with events is to join the friends! Contact the Rector for details.
